Quick Update!

I have not fallen off the face of the Earth, I promise! :) I've just been suuuuper busy lately. My life will be so hectic until the middle/end of May. So please don't worry if I don't post in a while.

My ankle is doing fine. Thanks for all your well wishes. :) Had a fun tennis dinner. I love Ninja Attack. Its so much fun. Although somehow I always end up in the weirdest poses. Oh, well...but tomorrow I have SAT testing. Ugh.

Its my first time and I didn't study as much as I wanted to but I guess I'll just have to wing it. How's you're weekend going so far? Are you taking the SAT's too? :)

I'll try to write back soon!! Bye!

Every Princess Needs a Crown

Razzle Dazzle had a tag/award on her blog and I thought it would be fun to do it. :) So here it goes...

Who is your style icon?
Um...I'd have to say Lauren Conrad and Victoria Beckham. :)

What is your favorite socialite lit book?
I'm not sure if I know what a socialite lit book is. But my favorite chick lit books are anything written  by Meg Cabot. She's so funny and I know that when I pick up one of her books I'll laugh. Does anyone want to tell me what a socialite lit book is?

Favorite party theme?
Pool.

Go to Halloween costume?
Probably a witch. I'm not very original. :)

Extravagance you can't live without?
Cable and Internet. Do those count as extravagances?

Living person you admire?
Roger Federer and Diane Von Furstenberg. I couldn't pick just one.

Greatest Fear?
Heights. And being eaten by a shark.

Trait you deplore about yourself?
My need to fill awkward silences. Which normally only makes a awkward situation more awkward...

Which talent would you most like to have?
I wish I could do flips like a gymnast!

Greatest achievement?
Lettering in tennis. :)

Don't forget to:
1. Display the award and link to the person who gave it to you
2. Add answers to the questions
3. Pass it on!!

I tag everyone who wants to do it. :) Its fun to learn more about my fellow bloggers. Just write in the comments if you do do it. I really want to come and check it out! :D

Snakes on a Boot, Not on a Plane

Hola, Whitney Port and your super cute Loeffler Randall Matilde Embossed Snakeskin Boots!! :D

Fliming The City. Wearing Loeffler Randall Matilde Embossed Snake Boots, Medium Wash Jeans, Studded Fringe Black Bag, and Grey Jacket.

Out in Soho. Wearing Loeffler Randal Matilde Embossed Snakeskin Boots, Jimmy Choo Jackie Glasses, Rebecca Minkoff Devote Studded Tote, Grey Leggings, and Creame Sweater.

Out in the West Village. Wearing Loeffler Randall Matilde Embossed Snakeskin Boots, Long Black Leather Jacket, Bright Red Clutch, and Grey Cheetah Print Leggings.

Cleaning. Cleaning. And more Cleaning. That is what my day has consisted of. Lucky me, right? :)

Now I'm finally taking a break. Sigh. So tiring. :) I'm too tired to think about something smart or intelligent to write. I had kind of a bad day. Got English essay back. Let's just say it didn't turn out so well...

Did I tell you guys that I sprained my ankle? Yeah...it still hurts but I'm hoping that it heals quickly! :) Crossies! Please answer this one question. Who is your favorite style icon? I really want to know. Comment below! :)

I Walked, I Ran, I Jumped, I Flew

I have some free time before I have to go study so I just thought I'd check and watch a couple episodes of Guiliana and Bill on E! I'm a horrible procrastinator but almost my entire day yesterday was wasted doing an APUSH project. Yuck. :/

Here are some cute deals I found online. I really like the headband and the blue shirt. So pretty. :)

I have so much going on in the month of May. I have APUSH and AP English testing. I have my SAT's. I have my regular school work. I have tennis. I'm just so ready for some relaxation. And writing posts for my blog is just the thing I need. :)

I'm going to go see the Back-Up Plan today. I'm not going with any friends. Its more of a babysitting job. But I don't get paid. My mom and her friends like to go watch movies but her friend has a daughter who's in fifth grade and I come along to keep her occupied so Mom and Kim can have "grown-up girl bonding time".

I hope its good. But the guy who plays opposite J-Lo is really cute! :) Sigh. And he's Australian. I love a guy with an accent.

Models Without Makeup

Semi-recently Harper's Bazaar decided to present pictures of supermodels without makeup to their readers. Click here to read all about their anti-aging techniques and to see more models without makeup. :)

I loved this idea because it shows that even the most beautiful women in the world have flaws. They're all beautiful women, even without the makeup, but it shatters the idea that women have to be perfect. There is no way anyone on Earth is perfect, not even these women.

I commend them for their courage because its hard being in the public eye and being photographed without their makeup on is like opening up the door  for critism. People can, and do, tear these people apart for not being perfect. It's sad but true.

End of PSA. Sorry. :)

Claudia Schiffer

Amber Valletta

Shalom Harlow

Cindy Crawford

Helena Christensen

This kind of reminds me of the Marie Claire photoshoot that Jessica Simpson did without makeup and without photoshop. I think that is the coolest. :) Go Jessica! I've been watching her new show on Vh1 lately, The Price of Beauty and it isn't too bad.

It isn't Newlyweds but its still good. Did anyone see that episode from Uganda and there was this thing called the fattening hut? A woman could spend two months jsut sitting in a hut trying to get fat. They can't move a lot (because it would burn calories) and the only time they can leave is to use the bathroom.

I would be sooo bored. :) But the women seem to want to be there and think that spending time in the hut is an honor.

Off to help my mom set up for her Girl's Night In party. :) Bye!

Music, MAC, and a Movie

Someone asked me in the comments of my last post and I realized something. I haven't talked about The Last Song! I told you guys that I was going to go see it but I never told you guys what happened. :)

But first I have to say I'm currently lusting after MAC's Sushi Flower and Expresso. They're both such pretty colors. I've heard good things about them so I'm hoping that when I do buy them they're everything I hoped they would be. :)

Warning!! There might be SPOLIERS so if you want to go see it then just skip this post. Overall I thought it was a pretty good movie.

The little boy who played Jonah, Miley's character's littler brother was ADORABLE! I loved him. He was such a good actor. I almost cried when he started crying. He was so cute. :) I kind of think that he was a better at fake crying than Miley was. Sorry Miley.

But she wasn't very good at fake crying. There was one point where I was going to cry but then Miley started crying and it kind of ruined it for me. But the movie was sooo much better than Dear John. I was kind of going into the movie thinking that it would kind of be like Dear John and suck but it didn't.

I was pleasantly surprised.
Miley and Liam had great chemistry. The movie was filled with just about every cliche in the book but there's a reason why cliches are cliches, right? People enjoy cliches. I did.
I especially loved the singing in the car scene. Liam was sooo funny. :) It had the whole theater cracking up!

I went with Maggie, Maddy, and Jenny. Why do all my friends have names that end in the "ie/y" sound? Hmmm...My name's Lane. So I guess I don't fit the mold. Oh, well.

Maggie was crying so much. I looked over and she was just bawling. But I also especially love the songs When I Look At You and Tyrant off the soundtrack. Soo good. :) But does anyone know the song that plays at the very begining of the movie? Maggie would like to know.

Oh, and guess what? I finally found my book. Jenny DID have it!

But last night before I went to bed I was reading the book. Its getting really, really good. :) I would go see it again. Despite Miley's inability to cry convincingly. :) Liam is really cute too. I would recommend this movie for anyone who wants to cry. Bring your tissues! :D

Lovin' Lauren's Style

Another "I Love My..." blog post. :) Its features Lauren, one of my faves, and her Linea Pelle Piper Speedy. Random tangent but I love the fact that she's holding a DVF shopping bag in the first pic! DVF is one of my all time favorite designers along with Burberry Prorsum, Michael Kors, Jason Wu, and a bunch of others.

I can't list them all. Then there wouldn't be any room for any pictures of Lauren. I'm sure if you read my blog you'll know who my faves are. :) But I had to give a shout out to Ms. von Furstenberg. Isn't it just so much fun just saying her name? :)

Shopping in West Hollywood. Wearing Linea Pelle Piper Speedy, Marc Jacobs 107/S Sunglasses, Alvin Valley Goddess Blouse, Dark Wash Jeans, and Silver T-Strap Sandals.

Eating Lunch at Tarte in Beverly Hills. Wearing Linea Pelle Piper Speedy, M by Madonna H&M Leather Jacket, Max Studio Troy Pumps, Black Jeans, Printed Scarf, and Dior Sunglasses.

Walking Her Dog in Hollywood. Wearing Linea Pelle Piper Speedy, Minnetonka Triple Fringe Boots, Chloe 2123 Sunglasses, Medium Wash Jeans, and Lauren Conrad Cheryl Tank.

I'm currently sitting in my living room watching the Vh1 special, the Fabulous Life of Real Life Cinerellas. It makes me wish that I could meet a real life prince. Sigh. :) It's like The Prince and Me but better because these stories are real. :)

It gives the rest of us wannabe princesses hope! Hahaha.

That dog is sooo cute! I wish I could get a dog but my parents don't think I'm responsible enough. Maybe they're right. But I still wish I could have one. :) Bye. Talk to you guys later.

Red Hot!

I don't know if you guys can see it but Kate has her nails painted this beautiful deep red. I love her dress. Its Burberry Prorsum. I posted about it earlier, here. A little bit of a sidenote but has anyone heard those rumors that Kate got a boob job? That's crazy. I hate how the media always picks on women and their bodies.

Magazines sometimes takes a picture of a girl smiling and then compares it to a picture of the same girl not smiling and they say she got a nose job because her nose looks slimmer. Well, of course her nose is going to be bigger when you're smiling. Thats what happens! Duh. Oh, geez

Okay. Mini rant over. Back to Kate's nails rather than her...other stuff. :)

I really like the idea of a bright red for summer/spring. Here's jsut a small list of my favorite red colors for summer. Red reminds me of the beach...and sunburns. Hahaha.

Off With Her Red
Out of all the colors I picked. Off With Her Red is the truest red. Its a red-red. Believe me. If you want a bold, bright color then pick this color. I think if you have a really, really light skintone or a really dark skintone this color would look so good on. It would pop so well.

Conquistadorable Color
This nailpolish color isn't a crayon red, its more like berry red. But its a really, really pretty deep berry color. Its one of my favorite polishes ever! :) And the name is so cute, right? Conquistadorable...that's adorable! Very punny, I know. :) But it would be a really cute, deep color for summer. Its more of a mature color.

Manicurist of Seville
This is the most sophisticated color of all of these. Its also the darkest. I would say. Its like Conquistadorable Color but its darker and less pink. It has more red undertones. This is also a berry color. Like I said its really sophisticated and mature and I think that I would normally wear this color in the winter but I love the idea of wearing winter colors in the summer. My clothes in summer are normally really bright and so a more mute nail helps balance everything.

Tropical Punch
Talk about a fun color. This is almost neon, but not quite. But it is definately a super bright color but summer is the brightest time of the year, so why not celebrate with fun colors. I will admit that when I first saw this color in the bottle I didn't know if I would like it or not but once I saw it on my nails I changes my mind. I wouldn't wear this color in the winter but its a great summer color.

An Affair in Red Square
This is my favorite red color of all time. I love the name. Maybe its because it rhymes? Hahaha. :) Its a dark red color but I really, really like it. Sorry if you don't like dark colors because it seems like most of the  colors I'm picking are these dark, deep reds. But I'm looking at Kate's nails and I really, really like that color. Its so pretty. An Affair in Red Square is also sooo pretty. In love!

All the colors above are OPI. :) I love that brand. But my parents hate it because they don't think I should spend so much money on nailpolishes. What's you're favorite brand of nailpolish? Please help me make my parents happy with low prices. :)

Enough About Eve

Blair (a.k.a. Leighton Meester) looks stunning in this look. This is a shot from the episode, Enough About Eve. Its the one where Blair really wants to deliver the freshmen toast and NYU. It was a good one. I haven't seen the most recent episodes lately though.

The yellow and the green color seem like they're going to clash but when they're put together they actually go quite nicely. This reminds me how the other day I had to explain to my dad that their was a difference between matching and going together. He still does quite understand. :)

Back to the topic at hand. Is that not the cutest lunchbox you've ever seen? Sigh. Its amazing. I was looking at the Paige Gmable website and she has a ton of other super cute lunchboxes. All of them equally adorable. :) Okay, here's how you can get Blair's look.

I cannot put into words how much I adore this dress. :) Its just so cute. The color is stunning and the zipper detailing gives it an edge. I like it when clothing items just have random zipper details on them. It can make a super feminine garmet a bit tougher, you know? Maybe its just me. :) So chic.

Did anyone see the newest epsiode of Glee? That show is so funny. Does anyone remember the Single Ladies dance? Hilarious! I laughed so hard. :) Stomach is grumbling I think its time to eat. Got to go.

Winter to Spring

See:Moulin Rouge
Ewan McGregor. Singing? Swoon!! :) I lovethis movie. Its bitter sweet and filled with music. The Elephant Love Medley and Come What May play on my ipod all the time. Its fun because this musical is filled with songs that the audience already knows. Its actually one of the few Nicole Kidman movies that I like. I like Nicole Kidman but lately she hasn't been putting out good movies. Did anyone seeAustralia? Yeah, if you haven't, then don't. But back to Moulin Rouge. I cried. And cried. And cried. This movie is so good. Believe me. So sweet. "I'll love you until the end of time!"

Read:People Style Watch Magazine
I love People magazine. And the style version is just as good! This magazine is more practical than Haper's Bazaar or Vogue. Its filled with deals and saving oppourtunities. Its less fantasy and more reality but that doesn't make it any less fun. It isn't filled with articles about anything other than fashion. Its fashion through and through. :)

Watch:The Vampire Diaries
I LOVE Vampire Diaries. Its intense, kind of scary, and filled with romance. What more does a series need? Three adorably cute guys. Swoon. I guess I'm swooning a lot as I write this post. Hahaha. :) But I really, really do enjoy watching this show. Its one of th few that I actually watch the night that it comes on rather than watching it online or OnDemand. I didn't think the book was as good as the series. Just my opinion. :)

Wear:Nars Orgasm
OMG. I've heard people talk about this blush before but I didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Then my mom bought me this for either my birthday or Christmas, I can't remember. Hmm...but anyway, it looks sooo good on. I love the way that it gives me this adorable flush. So pretty. I highly recomend this product. It looks amazing on.

A Single Cloud in the Sky

Today is the day I'm going to see The Last Song. We get a delayed start tomorrow. Sooo excited. To celebrate I'm writing about this right before I go. I've heard only good things about this movie so I'm hoping that its really good! Here's Miley Cyrus and her All Saints Damisi Boots. :) Enjoy.

Taking a Walk in Hollywood. Wearing All Saints Damisi Boots,
Balenciaga Bal 0067s Aviator Sunglasses, Simone Camille Shoulder Bag,
Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Tweed Boho Cardigan, and
Simple Black Jeans.

Out in Toluca Lake. Wearing Roberto Cavalli Tiresia Sunglasses, Anlo Willa Jeans,
Balenciaga Giant Pompon Bag, All Saints Damisi Boots, and KAiN Label 3 Strap Tank.

At a Recording Studio in in Hollywood. Wearing All Saints Damisi Boots, Miley Cyrus
and Max Azria Denim Shorts, Simone Camille Shoulder Bag, Plain White Tank, and
Beige Colored Cardigan.

Out in Dublin. Wearing All Saints Damisi Boots, Giorgio Armani Calf Chevron-Print
Tote, All Saints Dream Tee, Black Leggings, Knee Socks, and a Black Puffer Jacket.

Went to my friend's softball game last week. It was really funny because I now know that I know little to nothing about softball. My friend was trying to explain it all to me but turns out he doesn't know that much about softball either. Hahaha. He tried to tell me that you got walk to first base if you just didn't hit the ball. Like if you just stood there. (That's wrong by the way).

It sounded wrong to me because my logic was telling me, if you just didn't have to hit any balls to make it to first base than why would you hit the ball? Just stand there, right? Turns out you get to walk to first base if you get four balls (pitches that are outside the batting zone). Yeah, I had someone else explain it to me. :)

I'm not a big sports person. Well, other than tennis. I love that. Going to practice super hard that way I can come back and be even better. nd win.

Do you want to see The Last Song? I'm a little worried that Miley might not be a good actress. Idk. I hope I'm wrong. :) I'm super excited. I'll tell you guys how it was when I get back. Comment!

The Apple Doesn't Fall Far...

Gwyneth Paltrow.  Yes, she's the woman from  Shakespeare in Love, Shallow Hal, and Iron Man. And surprisingly I liked all of these movies but for all different reasons. Shakespeare in Love made me cry. Shallow Hal made me laugh. And Iron Man had me on the edge of my seat. (I went to go see Iron Man for my birthday last year.)

She's so pretty and its also a bonus that I love her husband's music. Hello? Coldplay is freakin' awesome! I heart Viva La Vida, Yellow, Shiver, Clocks, and just so many more songs I couldn't begin to list them all. :) But back to Gwyn. :)

She's super talented and I genuinely like her movies. Now that Iron Man 2 and her other movie entitled, Love Don't Let Me Down, are coming out (so excited for Iron Man) she's on the cover of Harper's Bazaar for their March 2010 issue.

Anyway, here are pics from her photoshoot. They're amazing. And just click here if you want to read the entire interview with Gwyn.

I adore her Armani-Prive Swarovski-encrusted white gown. Its the one in the last picture from the top. Its just stunning in my opinion. :) I wish I had that dress. I have to admit that I'm a little jealous.

I haven't done one of these magazine photoshoot posts in a while and what better way to get back into the swing of things than with Gwyneth Paltrow? :) There were three or four other pictures that I really liked and I might just save those pictures for another blog post in the future.

I don't like to put a million pics on my blog becuase people tend to just scan over them without really seeing them, you know.

Have you ever seen a Gwyneth Paltrow movie? If so which, if any, were your favorites? Please Comment and then Follow. TTYL! :)
