Elephant Love Medley

Warning! Warning! Absolutely random blog ahead. Continue reading but know that you've been warned. ;D

Okay, to start off my random blog I'll start with a topic close to my heart. Coldplay! Of course.

I saw the picture above on Coldplay's offical website and I fell in love. By the way, I'm a huge Coldplay fan. :) I love their music. And they're one of the few bands that I actually like. Normally I just like one song but not the band. You know what I mean?

I love Clocks, Viva La Vida, Yellow, and Green Eyes! Sigh. I mean how can you not? <3

But the reason I love this piece so much is because it sort of reminds me of Moulin Rouge! Its the bright red in contrast with the neutral background. The couple is adorable. I like to think its Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. The actual artist would probably cringe if they ever read what I was saying but this is just my interpretation of the piece.

Moulin Rouge is amazing movie but I wouldn't advise watching it if you are prone to seizures. Its a visual roller coaster to say the least. :) If you only listen to one song off the soundtrack it has to be the Elephant Love Medley. The song makes me smile every time. Its a combination of all these loves songs to make one fantastic melody.

Moving on to another completely random topic. But what to talk about? Hmmm...I know! I might be going to California this summer to visit my cousins. I'm so excited but I'm trying not to get my hopes up because it's not a set plan. It's still in the "wouldn't it be nice?" stage.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed! :) Do any of you guys live in California? What should I do when I go there?  **End of random blog**

Hope it wasn't too boring. :) I have a special blog for tomorrow. Be sure to check back. I'm thinking it might be a giveaway... :D Bye!

The Nerd in Me

A couple months ago I did something really nerdy. I was playing around with Polyvore and I desperately needed inspiration. So what do I do? Of course. I make a Polyvore based off my favorite books. Do you see the dorkiness now?

I didn't post about it and I don't remember exactly why but I'm doing it now. The first one I did was Pride and Prejudice. I adore this book and the movie with Keira Knightley was magnificent. :) Sigh. Mr. Darcy is my dream guy. He's just so adorably cute!

I absolutely love the part when he's in the meadow and Mr. Darcy says, "You have bewitched me body and soul." Oh. My. Gosh. If any guy said that to me I'm pretty sure I would swoon and I promise you, I'm not a swooning type of lady. :)

And random side note but the musical score to this movie is amazing as well. I have Darcy's Letter and Liz On Top of the World on my iTunes. So romantic. So nerdy.

I sound like such a nerd but there's no point hiding it. I'm a nerdy fashionista. What are you? Comment below! I mean are you two seeming opposites that come together to make a super unique, fabulous woman? Or man?

Okay, well here's the Polyvore. It's not a strict interpretation but more of a collection of pieces that I think a modern Lizzie Bennett might wear. Click here to get specific info on each piece in the set.

Sigh. Tomorrow I have to go to school. Yuck! But each day is one day closer to summer--a.k.a. ultimate freedom! I can almost taste the summer breeze.

I realized today that I have over 400 followers! Isn't that insane? I'm so excited. :) I'm thinking I might do a giveaway in the near future but I haven't decided what I'm going to giveaway yet. Hmm...decisions, decisions.

This is kind of random but are there words that you find just super annoying and hard to spell? I don't know what it is but the word decision bugs me. Every time I write it I have to use spell check because I never spell it right. I don't know what it is. Its just that word too. I don't know. Its weird.

Please comment below and tell me I'm not alone out there. But then again...maybe I am. Oh, no! The horror! :) Bye!

Models Without Makeup

Semi-recently Harper's Bazaar decided to present pictures of supermodels without makeup to their readers. Click here to read all about their anti-aging techniques and to see more models without makeup. :)

I loved this idea because it shows that even the most beautiful women in the world have flaws. They're all beautiful women, even without the makeup, but it shatters the idea that women have to be perfect. There is no way anyone on Earth is perfect, not even these women.

I commend them for their courage because its hard being in the public eye and being photographed without their makeup on is like opening up the door  for critism. People can, and do, tear these people apart for not being perfect. It's sad but true.

End of PSA. Sorry. :)

Claudia Schiffer

Amber Valletta

Shalom Harlow

Cindy Crawford

Helena Christensen

This kind of reminds me of the Marie Claire photoshoot that Jessica Simpson did without makeup and without photoshop. I think that is the coolest. :) Go Jessica! I've been watching her new show on Vh1 lately, The Price of Beauty and it isn't too bad.

It isn't Newlyweds but its still good. Did anyone see that episode from Uganda and there was this thing called the fattening hut? A woman could spend two months jsut sitting in a hut trying to get fat. They can't move a lot (because it would burn calories) and the only time they can leave is to use the bathroom.

I would be sooo bored. :) But the women seem to want to be there and think that spending time in the hut is an honor.

Off to help my mom set up for her Girl's Night In party. :) Bye!

Rain, Rain Go Away

With Spring upon us, I know that Spring will also bring along Spring showers. :) Yes, the rain. Don't we all love rain. Note my sarcasm. :) It rained/hailed (who gets hail in April except for Icelanders?) at practice today but it only lasted for a little while.

Anway, Josie at With a Wink and a Smile has inspired me/reminded me that I neeeed to get rainboots. Obviously since it rains/hails at tennis practice. :) Here's the link to her inspirational post. :) Thanks Josie!

I'm thinking abotu getting these ones. I'm not in love with the color but I like the girly feel it has. I don't know. The only time I get to wear rainboots is on wet, dreary days. So I think its cute when girls wear super adorable, super cheery rainboots. Its the juxtaposition, I think. :)

These are called Allison Floral Rain Boots. The price isn't too bad. And considering where I live, I will get to wear these year round. :) So this will be money well spent! :)

Started reading Nicholas Sparks' book, The Choice, today. I somehow lost my copy of The Last Song. I don't know where it went. I put it in my tennis bag one day and then the next day it was gone. Hmmm...I think I know who touched it though. Jenny...if you're reading this...I know it was YOU! :D

But I seriously want it back soon. How else will I find out what happens to Ronnie and Will? I mean, I could go see the movie but I really want to read the book first. My friend says that she listened to The Last Song's soundtrack and that helped her get into the book.

She said that she cried a ton and I hope I cry too! Sometimes you just want to cry. Oh, but I will be going to go see The Last Song soon! Yay! As soon as I finish the book. Hint, hint Jenny...

Don't forget to check out my giveaway! Who doesn't love a free tote? Crazy people, that's who! And it's the last day you can enter. :)

Has anyone seen The Last Song? Should I spend my ten dollars to see this movie because if not, I'll just stay home. :) Comment. Comment. Go and Comment! :)

Standout

Is it Blake or the people at Gossip Girl? I don't know many women who could pull off Joie Pleated Silk Tank in Orange, Matthew Williamson Antique Beaded Vest, Chanel Flower Chain Necklace, and Bottega Veneta Ostrich Bag.

In this picture she just seems to standout in the crowd. Maybe its because her legs are so long. Idk. :)

I was just browsing through pictures to get inspiration and I saw this picture. I really didn't have much to talk about so....I just posted it and figured I could go off on some random tangent as the second part of my post.

How do you guys get inspiration?

At this moment, as I'm writing this I'm catching up on my episodes of Greek. Its a cute show. I mean its not The Vampire Diaries or Glee but I can't have it all. I didn't get into this show until about two weeks ago and it seems like I've been watching it non-stop.

Rusty is cute with his adorable dorky smile and hair. Casey has the dilemma that most girl could only wish they had. But the Cappie-Evan problem is so hard. One moment I think Evan is a pig and the next Cappie is a jerk. I'm so confused! Hahahahaha. :)

Why are dorks so cute on TV but not in real life? Don't forget to check out my giveaway! Please Comment and Follow! :D

Still In Love...

I have this sick obsession with Burberry Prorsum. Sick because I know that unless I become a millionaire or marry into extreme wealth, there is no way I will ever get to wear these gorgeous clothes. Why do I taught myself with something that I can possibly never have? Maybe because they're just so stunning!

Maybe Burberry Prorsum should team up with Target and make an affordable line! Not that that is likely to happen but here's to hoping. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. :)

Want a chance to win a free tote? Click here! :D

On Demand Write tomorrow. Ugh. So much writing in such a little time. Have I mentioned that I hate English? Maybe its the teacher. Maybe its the subject. I don't know. All I know is that forty-five minutes in that class seems like forever!

Too bad English is the one subject required all four years in order to graduate. :/

Anways, I have not gone shopping for clothes in the longest time. The last time I bought something was, I think, Black Friday. That was months ago. Wow! I just realized how long its been. This weekend I plan to go on a shopping trip. A much needed shopping trip. Wish me luck! :D

Do/did you like English in high school? What was your favorite class? Please answer in the comments below! Love hearing yours guys' resopnses. :)

P.S. The Bird Bites

Good Evening. Happy Saturday! How's your weekend going so far?

Right now I'm watching the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family. I know, its a Saturday night and all I have planned is blogging and watching tv. I lead an action packed life of excitment. Note my sarcasm. Oh, does anyone know which Harry Potter movie this quote is from? "P. S. The Bird Bites"

If you want to know the answer just click here.

I have recently started playing around with polyvore. I know, I know I am so behind the power curb. :) Oh, well. I tried to play around with it before but they always turned out really, really ugly. :) Oh, well. I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination.

I tried again today and I managed to create something that was not incredible ugly. Hahaha. :) Here's a link to the polyvore website with a list of all the products I used in my set below. Its nothing fancy but I'm still learning, give me time.

Going to go see Remember Me tomorrow! Yay! :) I'm not a big Robert Pattinson fan. I mean he looks okay once he's washed/brushed his hair, not that that happens very often. Hahaha. New Moon is out on dvd and I'm really excited.

Compared to Twilight it was a much better movie. Maybe its because Robert Pattinson wasn't in it...are you seeing what I'm seeing? Okay, I'm just kidding, sort of. :) I'm going because my friend is a huge Robert Pattinson fan and the movie looks kind of interesting. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Went to Wal-mart and sister picked up the new Teen Vogue with Miley Cyrus on the cover. On March 31st, I am so going to see The Last Song. It looks soooo good. And the guy who plays opposite Miley Cyrus isn't bad to look at. :)

Okay, I'm wrapping this blog up because I have nothing else to talk about it. Bye. Have a great weekend.

Blunt and Beautiful

Hola! At the moment I should be reviewing for my English Test. (Ugh). But I am participating in a little harmless procrastination. At least I hope its harmless...

Anyway, I first saw Emily Blunt in the movie, The Devil Wears Prada. She was the lovely, yet snooty, British assistant to Miranda Priestley. She was so funny. I absolutely love the part when Anne Hathaway comes in (newly made over) and Emily's character's mouth just drops! :)

Anyway, since the Golden Globes, I have fallen in love with her style. At times its so delicate and girly but then at other times its more harsh and sexy. :)

I was watching the Olympics (pairs figure skating) the other day and I felt the need to be girly, so all the pictures of Emily are very feminine. I love figure skating. My sister used to skate, but then her back started giving her problems so she had to quit, and the only thing she taught me was how to skate backwards. Hahahaha.  :)

But did anyone see Shen and Zhao? Although I love rooting for Americans, I have to give these two credit where credit is deserved. They were amazing. I love watching pairs because its so cool to see two people being totally and completely in sync.

Here are the pics! :)

Russian Premiere of Wolfman. Wearing Sequin Ivory Zuhair Murad Gown and Ivory Ina Soltani Coat.

At the Golden Globes. Wearing Pink Ruffle Tulle Dolce & Gabbana Dress and Ferragamo Clutch.

At the Annual Elle Women Event. Wearing Strapless Nude Dolce & Gabbana Dress.

She's my inspiration for February. :) Well, I'll see you guys later. Who's style are you loveing at the moment?

Are Those...?

In one of my last posts, I wrote about my love for the movie, The Devil Wears Prada. Continuing on that stream of thought, I was thinking about the scene when Andie walks in for the first time in her new wardrobe.

I love that scene. :) It always makes me smile when I see Emily stutter and in a small voice ask, "Are those...?"

Well, of course those are the Chanel Boots. :D

I'm sorry if you guys are sitting there wondering, "Why is she even writing about this?"

Well, I felt like I should post something...and this was the only moment when I had time to write something. And at this moment I am at a complete blank....

Sorry, again for the kind of lame post but this is one of my favorite parts of this movie. It always makes me feel like there is something right in the world. :D

I'm about to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel with my little sister and then we're going to eat Mexican! Yay! I love Mexican food. :) yum.

So I've decided what my New Year's Resolution is going to be. I'm going be healthier and I'm going to try to read more. It seems like in the past year I've read like...nothing. So I'm going to do that.

Hmmmm.....I don't know if its just my friends but like three of them say that their New Year's Resolution is to be nicer. My first reaction was....what? Are you guys mean? :)

I don't know. :) What's you New Year's Resolution?

Do you like the movie, The Devil Wears Prada? What's your favorite fashion movie? Please Comment and Follow! :D

Want Her Wardrobe

So, I was thinking about doing a blog post every month I'll post my fashion inspirations, I guess. I'm not quite sure how I'll pick each one but I think it'll be fun.

For the month of December I decided to choose Lauren Conrad. She's so fun to try and emulate. She has great style and I loved her signature "Lauren Conrad Braid".

Anyway, here are a few pictures and reasons why I love her style. :)
Who's your style inspiration? Please Comment and Follow! :D
