Shoes For Summer

I know. I know. I keep talking about summer but how can I not? Summer is the season of my birth, (Go Summer babies!) and its also the second best time of the year. Behind Christmas, of course. :) I'm so excited for summer that did some shopping. Here's a quick look at a few of the things I picked up.

My favorite inexpensive picks. All of these shoes are under $20. Some of them you can own at the super low price of $13.49.What do you think? Of the shoes and their price.

The color is adorable. Surpsingly I don't own any pink sandals. I'm not a very big pink fan. I don't know why. I mean I think it can be pretty--it can also be gaudy--but I'm not the girl who's room is covered in pink. Do you find that surprising? Comment below. But I love the color of these shoes. I think I already said that but its true! :)

Flats are perfect for summer. :) I don't normally wear heels--because where I live it rains almost everyday. I mean if we go a whole week without rain, its almost newsworthy. I'm not an everyday heel girl but I love how heels make my legs look. I have these gorgeous platform faux crocodile skin pumps. Gosh. I love those things. :) But back to the shoes, I love the bead detailing. It's that perfect spark of flash that pumps up the volume.

A black and brown flat. Its classic. I have a beautiful pair that I bought a couple years ago but a few years can put a lot of wear and tear on a pair of shoes. :) Even though I don't love the intense galdiator look--you know the one with the straps that reach a girl's knees--I love the echoes of gladiator inspiration. It slightly modernizes an old classic. Every girl needs a basic sandal for summer!
Turquoise. And white. I'm not quite sure what I'd wear these with. Maybe some jeans and a simple tee. Hmmm...what do you think? What outfit would not be complet with these unique, showstoppers? I'm in love with them. I have nothing in my closet that looks anything like this. That's why I think I like it so much. :)

Oh! I'm so excited. I was watching Glee on the FOX website and I finally saw the episode called Acafellas. :) It was the funniest Glee episode I think I've ever seen. There's something extremely funny about four grown men practicing acapella hip-hop in Mr. Schuster's living room.

I was a little late jumping on the Glee bandwagon and so I missed a lot of the earlier episodes. So I was thrilled when I realized I could catch up! :D I just love Glee in general. Are you a Gleek? Comment below!

Hail Caesar!

See:The Wedding Singer
OMG! This is a classic. :) Who doesn't love it when Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore team up? 50 First Dates was hilarious but The Wedding Singer has to be my favorite. I absolutely love the part at the end when Robbie sings to Julia. Sigh. If only a guy would chase after me to Las Vegas. :) And although I wasn't born in the 80's its nice to see a quick overview of the pop culture of the time. Its like entertainment and education mixed into one.

Read:Julius Caesar
I read this last year in English but I was reminded how much I like Shakespeare when we started reading A Midsummer Night's Dream. We haven't made it all the way through AMND yet I still perfer Julius Caesar. A lot more action and drama. Its like Mean Girls but in Roman times and without the some-what happy ending. :) I'm not going to lie and say that the language isn't complicated--because it is--but I think if you're up for a challenge, you'll enjoy this.

Watch:Drop Dead Diva
Eeek! I'm obsessed with this show. Its Matlock mixed with The Hills and a small dash of Ghost Whisperer. Sounds fun, huh? But honestly I'm glued to the TV when it airs. Its season premiere aired just recently and so its the perfect time to jump into the show. I am so glad that TV channels have started to pump up their summer seasons. I remember when the only thing on during the summer were re-runs. :) Oooh, doesn't Pretty Little Liars look like its going to be a great show? Random thoguht.

Wear:Soda Carlet Flats in White
Summer is almost upon us and if you're looking for inexpensive, yet completely chic shoes, please head over to CutesyGirl.com. I am completely serious. Their shoe selection is huge and they have all these amazing shoes in so many colors. :) And if you don't believe me head on over. You won't be disappointed. But the shoes pictured above are perfect for summer. The Carlet Flats will go with any summer dress and yet look effortless when thrown on with a pair of jeans and a tee. Plus, isn't the golden detailing just stunning?

Beachy Fun--Hopefully in the Sun

Just finished up a tag post that I'm going to publish tomorrow. So if you like tags come back tomorrow. If you don't...well, then I guess it will be a sad day for you. But I hope you love reading tags as much as I love writing them and reading them. :)

Anyway, I got some great news today. :) Me and my sister are getting a pool! I'm beyond thrilled. Its not an in-ground pool or anything. Its just bigger than the kiddie one that has been chilling in the garage for the past twelve years.

The pool will only be about four/five feet deep but I think its the coolest thing ever. Question. Is it safe to jump off a trampaline into a pool? Or does it just look cool? Please comment below.

I haven't gotten a new swim suit yet but as it still feelings like late winter, where I live, and I don't need one yet. But in a couple weeks I'm going to have a swim suit shopping spree. :) My mom is going to be thrilled. Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?

So excited for pool season. Is there anything more exciting? Nope. Not even close. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. A big exaggeration but you know what I'm saying.

I was playing around with Polyvore, I think I've become obsessed, and I came up with a wishlist. A beachy, fun-in-the-sun wishlist. The two piece in the Polyvore is adorable. I'm in love.

I'm a huge fan of the dark, navy blue. The color is perfect in summer. Its so very nautical. :) And as a Navy brat myself, I'm very partial to the sea.

Went over to a friend's house today and watched Gone With the Wind. It is a FOUR HOUR long movie. Four hours!! I had no idea it was that long. :) It was a good movie but it was just too long. Way too long. I adored Rhett.

He was so funny. I loved how he and Scarlet met. Clark Gable is a genius. And despite the fact that he was arrogant and sometimes strange, I found myself rooting for him more than Scarlet. Well, one classic movie down. Thousands more to go. :)

Bye! Talk to you guys later. If you feel the need, please comment below. Or even push the follow button to your right. Thank You! :D

The Best Part of Me

Oh, Carmen. You're shoes are so adorable! Don't you guys just love them? They're the Fendi Cutout Slingbacks. They cost 4695.00! I know that's so expensive. But they're adorable. Why do I desire cavier on a Burger King budget?

I just saw Sandra Bullock's new baby and he's adorable! I know I've been out of the loop but I've had a lot of things going on lately. But he's so adorable! Cute! :) I'm so happy for Sandra. She really does deserve some happiness after everything she's been though.

I'm currently obsessed with a new song on my ipod. Breakeven by The Script is so good. :) What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you?

Found my MAC Well Dressed blush. I don't know where it went but it seems like when I find something, something else goes missing. I was looking for my Laura Geller's Nice-n-Nude lipstick but I couldn't find it!

I tried doing and EOTD today but I'm horrible at taking pictures. I'll try to post about it tomorrow so it'll be a day late but this is the first time I'm doing something like this. I'm kind of excited! :) If this seems like a quick random update video...it is. But now that you guys are updated I can put up my EOTD post tomorrow!

What're you listening to? I've spent all day listening to that one song. :) Post a comment below. Please?

If you have one, what's your school's mascott? Are rams a common mascott. Just wondering. Wow, I just used a ton of exclamation points. Way too many but I'm really excited.

Talk to you guys later! :D Still  obsessed with Hey, Soul Sister and Breakeven. Listening to them right now!

Rain, Rain Go Away

With Spring upon us, I know that Spring will also bring along Spring showers. :) Yes, the rain. Don't we all love rain. Note my sarcasm. :) It rained/hailed (who gets hail in April except for Icelanders?) at practice today but it only lasted for a little while.

Anway, Josie at With a Wink and a Smile has inspired me/reminded me that I neeeed to get rainboots. Obviously since it rains/hails at tennis practice. :) Here's the link to her inspirational post. :) Thanks Josie!

I'm thinking abotu getting these ones. I'm not in love with the color but I like the girly feel it has. I don't know. The only time I get to wear rainboots is on wet, dreary days. So I think its cute when girls wear super adorable, super cheery rainboots. Its the juxtaposition, I think. :)

These are called Allison Floral Rain Boots. The price isn't too bad. And considering where I live, I will get to wear these year round. :) So this will be money well spent! :)

Started reading Nicholas Sparks' book, The Choice, today. I somehow lost my copy of The Last Song. I don't know where it went. I put it in my tennis bag one day and then the next day it was gone. Hmmm...I think I know who touched it though. Jenny...if you're reading this...I know it was YOU! :D

But I seriously want it back soon. How else will I find out what happens to Ronnie and Will? I mean, I could go see the movie but I really want to read the book first. My friend says that she listened to The Last Song's soundtrack and that helped her get into the book.

She said that she cried a ton and I hope I cry too! Sometimes you just want to cry. Oh, but I will be going to go see The Last Song soon! Yay! As soon as I finish the book. Hint, hint Jenny...

Don't forget to check out my giveaway! Who doesn't love a free tote? Crazy people, that's who! And it's the last day you can enter. :)

Has anyone seen The Last Song? Should I spend my ten dollars to see this movie because if not, I'll just stay home. :) Comment. Comment. Go and Comment! :)

Waiting on Some Beautiful Boy To...

Another lust list coming at you. :) Spring break is coming up. If I could describe my thoughts about the subject in one word I would say, "Yes!!!"

Can you tell I'm excited? Hmmm...:)

When I started writing my blog post on my Elizabeth and James lust list I knew there were too many lusty objects than I could fit in one blog post without boring 80% of you to death--or worse. So I split it into two parts. Wow, how ingenius of me. These are the EJ casual shoes that I simply drooled over. :)

First. I have to discuss these shoes. Are they not amazing? They are a mix between a ballet flat and sandal. I love 'em! Love! Love! :D I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I want these shoes. They're so different and I don't think I'll be able to find an affordable dupe for these ones. If anyone does know where to get shoes like these--without having to  pay a fortune--please comment!

The color is amazing. The braid detail is gorgeous. And the combonation of the two equals a masterpiece. Okay, maybe I went a little overboard but I'm a girl obsessed with flats and sandals of any kind. I'm kind of a little ungraceful so I'm always that I'll do something in embarassing in heels--like fall. :) So, so cute! These shoes would be the perfect addition to my closet. If only...

Do I even need to explain my thought process? Oh, okay. I will. :) Two words: Stunning Detailing. Okay, I'm done.

The pointed flat is crazy adorable. Doesn't it make you appear thinner? Even if it doesn't, who cares? Its so darn adorable! Hahahaha. And laser cutouts combined with the unique color that would look amazing with a pair of denim cutoffs and a plain white tee equates to a stunning outfit! Sigh. :)

I have recently rediscovered the song, "When You Were Young" by The Killers. Blame my friend May! But its been playing on my itunes as I've written this post. Lalalalaa. If only you could hear me sing. Most of you would die of laughter. :)

But he talks like a gentleman. Like you imagined. When you were young! Can we climb this moutain? I don't know.

That was just me. Just singing. :) Enjoy the rest of your day! Comment! Follow!

Engineer Boots

Lately Miley Cyrus has been seen around wearing these adrobale Frye Engineer Boots. They seem to add a hard edge to any outfit and Miley makes them work whether she's wearing jeans and leather jacket or a simple black dress with funky tights.

Did I mention that I really like her tights? And her faux fur Michael Kors vest? Simply stunning!
__
In London. Wearing Frye Engineer Boots, Roberto Cavalli Tiresia Cunglasses, Gucci Icon Bit Medium Boston Bag, Michael by Michael Kors Faux Coyote Fur Vest, Citizens of Humanity Shredded Skinny Stretch Jeans.

In New York on Sex & the City Set. Wearing Frye Engineer Boots, American Apparel Cresent Pattern Fishnets, Jimmy Choo Marina Messegner Bag, Unknown Leather Jacket and Black Dress.

Heading to her Hotel in Backpool. Wearing Frye Engineer Boots, Stoney Clover Lane Luck & Love Bracelets, Topshop Leopard Print Faux Fur coat, Giorgio Armani Calf-Chevron Print Tote.

Out in Paris. Wearing Frye Engineer Boots, Roberto Cavalli Tiresia Sunglasses, Giorgio
Armani Calf-Chevron Print Tote, and Doma Cropped Washed Leather Biker Jacket.

Anyway, I was so obsessed with these boots I went online and I tried to find them. And I did! Oh, I was so excited. They're $188 dollars and that's a lot of money. The only way I can get them would be if I saved up my birthday money. Which is about five months away.

I was so bummed! But oh, well. If I don't love them in five months, they probably weren't worth the money anyway. Here's a link to the Frye website and the Frye Engineer Boots in Black.

Apparently this brand was featured in O magazine. So they must be a reputable brand. I mean Oprah doesn't put just anyone in her magazine. :)

All Stars

Let me admit it. I have those mornings when I look at the clock and I fall back to sleep. Those days where I just want to sleep or I'm just too lazy to care about what I wear. I have those days when I just throw on a pair of jeans, a hoodie, and a pair of converse.

When it comes to non-athletic sneakers, converse are my favorite. :) I'm a huge fan. I have them in black, blue, and purple. (Its weird that those colors put together are the colors of bruise. Hmmmm....weird) Anyway, they're just so comfy and especially when its cold outside, I pile on about two socks and face the cold with my converse.

I love seeing celebrities with their converse and here are a couple wearing their converse with pride. Lauren Conrad (love her!), Ashlee Simpson, and Miley Cyrus. Enjoy! :D

Do you like converse? What are your comfy shoes of choice? Please Comment and Follow! :D
