Love, Drugs, and Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway is the star of the new film called Love and Other Drugs. Hence the title. :) The movie will be in theathers in time for Thanksgiving weekend. I'm excited. But the more important question is are you? Another equally important question: what look is your favorite?

Anne Hathaway in Valentino [left] and a fitted blazer over navy blue top [right].

The Valentino gown. The Valentino gown. Sigh. That dress is the perfect princess dress. I would not change a thing. Anne has played many princesses in her time but she's never looked more the part, than right here. The loose hair is fun and young but because it is pushed behind her shoulders, all the attention is on how beautiful that gown is. A stunning red carpet moment.

I picked two extremes. Ultimate glamour and totally casual. The navy blazer fits her in all the places it should. That is the mark of a great tailor. She is walking somewhere witha  purpose and she looks amazing. Those flats are the perfect mix of comfort and fashion--not exactly the easiest thing to do.

Anne Hathaway in Marchesa [left] and in J Brand [right].

Marchesa. The brand for glamour, fun, and beautiful details. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are masters of making gowns that make an impact on camera and in real life. They know how to make a woman look and feel sexy. That blue color is so vibrant and is such a great contrast with her bold, red lipstick. Brava Anne! :)

Next, another casual look. On some level I like casual looks better than red carpet looks. They give me ideas about what I want to put in my own closet, although don't get me wrong--I love the fantasy of the red carpet. But that's all it is fantasy. Most woman will never get the chance to wear a Marchesa gown to a movie premiere but we can always hope, can't we? In this look Anne is sleek, modern and totally put together.

I don't think I mentioned this earlier but Jake Gyllenhaal  is her co-star in Love and Other Drugs. Click here to check out the trailer. On another more somber note, I'd like to thank all those who have or are serving in the armed forces. Your sacrafice is appreciated. And thank you to all the families of those serving in the armed forces. I hope you have a nice Veteran's Day.
