Style Highlights: Leighton Meester

Leighton Mester is a triple threat. Singer, Actress, and Fashionista. Don't we all love and remember Good Girls Go Bad by Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester? I was just listening to that song and I was inspired. Which look of Leighton's is your favorite? Leave your thoughts in the comments!

Leighton Meester in Chanel [left] and in Elie Saab [right].

Leighton looks classic and effortlessly chic--although she kept it a little edgy with a tribal-inspired bib necklace. The geometric detail at the hemline is so unique but she keeps the look simple with patent leather mary-janes. The winged eye makeup is so stunning. I wouldn't mind if she wore that look more often.

Leighton goes fun and care free with this adorable Elie Saab number. It is light, fresh, and so youthful. The textured details on the shoulders and at the hemline beautifully contrast the velvet pumps Leighton picked for the night. She keeps the look youthful by piling her hair on the top of her head with a few tendrils framing her smiling face.

Leighton Meester in Emilio Pucci [left] and Michael Kors [right].

Leighton rocked a white textured look mini and flowered heels. I adore mini-dresses with long sleeves. They're much more fashion and a lot less hooch. Leighton's long loose hair is a stunning contrast with the crisp white color of her outfit.

Leighton always looks her best when she's wearing dark colors with a slight rock-and-roll feel. This Michael Kors gown is the perfect mix of soft and hard. The cut-outs of the leather top show off Leighton's toned body and tiny waist. I adore the ombre affect and the pin-straight style of her hair. Adore!

Style Highlights: Reese Witherspoon

Water For Elephants comes out today! I'm so excited. I read the book and it was fantastic. Go check out my review if you already haven't. But I think that Reese will be wonderful in this role. I'm been a fan for ages. Tell me in the comments below which look is your favorite?

Reese Witherspoon in Armani [left]. Reese Witherspoon in a cobalt blue Jason Wu cocktail dress [right].

Reese was the center of attention that night at the Oscars. She looked amazing! Her hair was so retro but she kept the look incredibly modern. I adored the black and white color blocking--so chic! The emerald earrings were an excellent choice. They added a bit of color to the look without appearing out of place.

Jason Wu + Reese Witherspoon is a combination that never fails. I love this deep, rich color on her. It is bold and powerful. Reese looks confident and happy. Her makeup is natural and her hair looks effortless in soft waves--just like how Reese likes it.

Reese Witherspoon in a textured white mini [left]. Reese Witherspoon in a tailored Zac Posen dress [right].

Talk about angelic. In white Reese looks absolutely stunning. If you look closely you will see that the dress is actually textured--a stunning detail that adds depth to the look. I adore the half sleeve and sheer trimming at the bottom of the hem. Paired with simple Louboutins and silver dangling earrings, the look is complete.

With this look, Reese took a chance and it paid off. She looks so modern in this Zac Posen mini. I adore the bow detailing at the bust and waist. The corset cinches in her waist and the strapless silhouette shows off Reese's toned arms. Reese likes to keep things simple and she decided to pair the look with simple black pumps and minimal jewelry. Although, Reese did amp up her eye makeup. Risk taker!

Thank you again for staying with me. I love blogging and I get so excited when people actually read my words. Don't forget to follow and check out my second blog! See you tomorrow.

Style Highlights: Anne Hathaway

Today I am inspired by Anne Hathaway's impeccable red-carpet style. She always looks put together and classy. What inspires you? Leave any thoughts in the comments below!

Anne Hathaway in a shimmering dress paired with Briant Atwood heels [left]. Anne Hathaway in lace Valentino cocktail dress [right].

Anne knows how to stand out from a crowd. This sparkly dress could've easily looked like a costume on the wrong actress but Anne's easy confidence makes it a miraculous event not a disaster. She kept it simple with patent leather heels and only a few bangles for accessories.

This is a masterpiece! I love the lace. The fringe. The bow. All of it. Valentino hit it out of the park with this crisp white dress. I'm just speechless. There are no words to describe how much I adore this dress. I want it for my closet...if only I had a place to wear it to.

Anne Hathaway in a crisp white Dolce & Gabbana mini [left]. Anne Hathaway sparkled in a floor-length Girogio Armani Prive gown [right].

I think Anne got a little inspired by the tropical location of her newest film, Rio. The easy lace. The simple braid detail in her hair. The peep-toe shoes. Anne looked like she was ready to head out to the beach as soon as the premiere was finished. She looks flawless.

Anne was one of the best, if not the best, dressed lady of the night at this year's Golden Globes. Her stunning Armani gown stole breaths from the viewers at home and the ones who were lucky enough to see her walking down the red-carpet live. The bronze-y gold color was perfect for her skin tone. And Anne looks confident. She knows she looks amazing and we all agree.

Thanks for reading! Please don't forget to follow! I'm on my way to getting 1,000 followers and I'm so excited. Please don't forget to show a little love to my second blog. Thanks again and I'll see you tomorrow.

Style Highlights: Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes is a Latina bombshell. But she doesn't rest on her good looks alone. No. This girl knows how to put together any outfit with the help of her celebrity stylist, the lovely Ms. Rachel Zoe herself. Which look is your favorite? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Eva Mendes in Prada [left] and Zac Posen [right].

Eva looks stunning in green. And although the purple shoes might give the look a sort of eggplant feel...oddly enough, I don't mind. The detailing at the bodice is stunning. Eva paired the look with a printed clutch and kept with her signature hair style--long, loose waves.

This dress is perfection. Zac Posen...sigh. I adore the flutter of the sleeves and the angelic way the gowns sweeps behind her on the floor. The fabric was a splendid choice and the low cut of the gown is a complete contrast to the otherwise innocent feel of the gown. It kept the look fresh and not matronly. Magical.

Eva Mendes in Salvatore Ferragamo [left] and Andrew Gn [right].

At first I was hesitant about this dress. I thought it look a little...messy? But then the longer I looed at it, the more I feel in love. I realized that I'd missed the complexities of this dress. The pruposeful smattering of stripes and colors is really quite gorgeous. Although I don't love the white cinched belt I do think Eva looks stunning. But what else is new?

Can you believe that this gown is velvet and not sequined? I was amazed and part of me still can't believe it. This gown fits Eva like a glove--the tailoring is fantastic--but the simplisity of the entire look is just breath-taking. The first time I saw this look I knew that I was going to blog about it. And that day finally came.

Thank you! Thank you! I'm the luckiest blogger to have such great readers. I'm so thankful for all the people who've stuck with me after all these years. I honestly can't believe its been years. Please don't forget to follow my blog. I'm so grateful.

Style Highlights: Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba is currently pregnant with her second baby. Congrats! But that has been known to the public for ages now. Today I'm writing about Jessica because although I just watched The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and hated it, there is no doubt that Ms. Alba is a fashionista in real life and totally stunning.

Jessica Alba in Marc Jacobs [left] and D&G trousers and blazer [right].

Jessica looks totally ready for spring! Her Marc Jacobs mini is to die for and I adore the chunky velvet shoes she paired her look with. They're so young and chic! Her hair is simple and her makeup is basic to keep the main focus on that drool-worthy dress. Where the attention should be!

Just because Alba looks stunning in a floral mini, doesn't mean she can't rock a men-inspired pant suit. In black from head to toe, she looks flawless and ready to take on the world. She added a subtle pop of color with red nails and to break up the monochromatic look, she added a simple white clutch and a bit of bling.

Jessica Alba in Valentino [left] and a one shoulder mini [right].

My closet is calling for this dress. It is so versatile and elegant. The floral detailing along the skirt is perfection and I adore her bold choice of a deep lip. It keeps the look planted firmly in the fashion world rather than letting it wander into the land of little girls and dress up. Chunky heels are a fashion statement that I am a firm believer in and her hair is simple and fresh.

Bold. Alba went bold in this edgy one-shouldered look. She kept the look all black, save for the flashes of bronze and gold along her neck and at her wrists. Her hair and makeup were severe and very rock and roll. Appropriate for the AMA's, no?

Thank you guys for keep coming back to my blog! My readers mean everything to me. Honestly. Any requests? Leave them in the comments below! Please don't forget to follow [links to the right]!

Style Highlights: Lara Stone

I've posted about Lara Stone before but never about her clothing off the runway. I know. I know. How silly of me. Models have lives outside of fashion week and Marc Jacob's ads. And Lara Stone is no exception.

Lara Stone in Calvin Klein [left] and with her husband, David Williams, in a sweeping fuchsia gown [right].

Metallics are so beautiful...when done right. Lara has a unique sort of beauty that I think is really healthy for girls to see. She  is a cookie cutter but she is one of the most stunning women. This look is simplistic but Lara has the confidence to pull it off. Brava.

Sigh. This color is to die for. The way that it makes her skin glow is breath-taking. And showing off a bit of leg doesn't hurt too. The high pony was also a highlight for me [slight pun intended] because it was just so fashion and yet it looked completely effortless.

Lara Stone in Calvin Klein [left] and with David Williamson, in a shiny mini gold dress [right].

Lara loves her Calvin Klein. The simplistic cut and shiny fabric was the perfect choice. She looks so confident and beautiful. Although I'm not in love with her shoes, I do realize that Lara is a fan of the strappy heel while I'm a chunky pump kind of girl. Personal preference.

Lara looks stunning metallics...again. The detailing on this dress is just...so beautiful and delicate. The cinched waist is stunning. The loose flowing hair is perfection. I adore this look...except for the shoes. But everything else is so incredibly stunning that those white shoes don't bother me. Magnificent!

Thank you for reading! Leave any suggestions in the comments below! And don't forget to follow this blog or check out my second blog for movie and book reviews. I'm working hard to build my second blog so that it is as strong, if not strong, than my main blog. Ambitious, I know.

Style Highlights: Ginnifer Goodwin

Ginnifer Goodwin! I can't explain how much I adore this woman's sense of style. Its so cutting-edge without going Lady Gaga. She always looks effortless--which is a true sign of style. I know which look is my favorite. But tell me which one is yours in the comments below.

Ginnifer Goodwin in YSL pants, black bustier, and stain heels [left]. Ginnifer Goodwin in a red lace Valentino mini [right].

So chic! This harem pant and bustier combination was a stroke of genius. I adore the way that it looks like a cat suit almost. The bold gold accessories are so perfect as are her satin purple heels. On any other woman this look would've been too sexy and maybe a bit trashy but somehow, and I'm not quite sure how, but Ginnifer manages to keep this look effortless.

Valentino. A girl can never go wrong in Valentino. Well, a girl can but not Ginnifer. I love the bold color against her brunette hair. I adore the lace. So modern and classic without looking old. No jewelry and nude pumps complete the look. Just stunning.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Christian Dior [left] and Monique Lhuillier [right].

Another perfect example of how lace can be fresh and youthful. The color is stunning against her pale skin. Understated [but drool-worthy] shoes and simple diamond earrings complete the look. Ginnifer knows the art of not overwhelming an outfit with unnecessary accessories. She's very gifted in that sense. Plus, did I mention how much I love how she styled her hair in this picture? Because I do.

A little glitter can go a long way. I adore this dress on Ginnifer. The cut is very flattering--and a throwback to the time of Mad Men. The sheer top is very flattering and those red shoes are brilliant. A pop of color, especially red, is perfection when done right. And, by the way, this is done right.

Thank you for reading. I'll be back tomorrow. Please don't forget to follow and check out my second blog.

Style Highlights: Emma Roberts

Emma Roberts is becoming a fashionista, as well as well known movie star. She hit up shows at both Paris and NY Fashion week and everyone was talking about how effortlessly chic she looked. Which look is your favorite? Please comment below!

Emma Roberts in Michael Kors [left] and Miu Miu [right].

This color looks STUNNING against Emma's skin tone. The pleating is perfection and I adore the retro hemline at Emma's mid-calf. The rest of the look is kept simple with black accessories and nothing more. Emma pulled her hair back but left a simple curl of hair to frame her face.

Sparkle and shine! Emma looks stunning in this cut-out Miu Miu mini. She paired the sparkly dress with unexpected pair of shimmery pink pumps. Remind me of Dorothy's shoes from The Wizard of Oz, but in a different color. So bold. So chic. I adore.

Emma Roberts in Jenny Packham [left] and Chanel [right].

Emma looks sophisticated and sweet in this floor-skimming Jenny Packham gown. This look is all about glitter and glam with its sequins embellishments and low-cutting neckline. She continued on the look of metallics with her stunning over sized clutch and with her grey makeup. So beautiful.

Chanel is always in style. Always. And if this is what Spring 2011 looks like, then I am so excited! Pastels are so beautiful and soft. I love the fringe details on the skirt, at the sleeve, and everywhere! In an effort to keep the look fun Emma paired this flawless dress with modern silver pumps. Simple hair and a chunky clutch completes the look. I love!

Thank you for reading. I'm so grateful to all of my readers. They are the best and I will gladly argue with anyone who says otherwise. I'll be back tomorrow. But until then, please check out my second blog. The number of posts I've published is into the double digits now. So exciting!

Style Highlights: Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan is a prime example of British style at its best. Ever since she came onto the circuit after she starred in An Education and especially since she was featured in Vogue, I have been in love with this girl's style. She is elegant without looking old. She is totally fashion-forward without alienating the main-stream media. There is balance between style and eccentricity, and Carey has mastered that balancing act.

Carey Mulligan in Vionnet gown [left] and Nina Ricci ensemble with YSL pumps[right].

When I first saw this dress, I wasn't in love but like fine wine [or so I'm told] it grew on me. I saw the way the vertical pleating gave the print of the dress a more eye-catching illusion. The golden wedges were a brilliant idea--not too matchy matchy but it complimented the earthy tones of her dress. Her makeup is understated and I'm in love!

Nina Ricci is known for its elegance and sophistication. What better to wear to the Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps premiere? I love the violet color next to her pale skin and light hair color. A simple pencil skirt and patent black pumps keeps the simplicity of the look. So chic.

Carey Mulligan in Preen [left] and a Prada dress with YSL pumps [right].

Carey Mulligan's smile in this picture only makes her look more beautiful. The intriguing detailing and beading on her bodice are stunning. The full A-line skirt compliments the top perfectly, almost falling to the background letting the statement pieces--the top and those ever-so-chic electric blue heels--take center stage.

Carey Mulligan is a very loyal fan of Prada and she always looks stunning. The purple color is much darker than the lilac top above but Carey still looks lovely in this simple-cut mini. She paired this look with the same simple black pumps and cinched her waist with a similarly styled belt. Tre chic! Like my French?

Thanks for reading! I'll be back tomorrow with a slightly different post than usual. I'm really excited about it. Don't forget to follow this blog! Link is to the right.

Style Highlights: Mila Kunis

This girl has come a long way since her days on That 70's Show. Mila Kunis is now an actress who is starring alongside Oscar-Award winning actresses and her career will only grow from this point. And not only is Mila Kunis an amazing actress, the girl can also pull off an outfit like nobody's business. That's pretty impressive.

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen [left] and in a simple pencil skirt, greige pumps, and crisp white blouse [right].

In my opinion, Mila Kunis was by far the best-dressed that night at the SAG awards. Her soft waves mimicked the soft waves and the liquid print on the skirt of her dress. This dress was stunning and her beautiful smile and self-confidence helped her own that night. There isn't one thing I would change.

This look is completely different. This is how to look sophisticated and chic--whether you're at work or at The Four Seasons, like Mila. She doesn't look old or snobby, she looks professional and approachable. I love the elegant draping of her sleeveless top. I want to steal it for my closet!

Mila Kunis in Oscar de la Renta [left] and in Elie Saab [right].

This floral mini is too cute. I wish the color or the print was a little lighter, so that the camera could capture the beautiful floral detailing but that's just me picking at details now. This dress is so structural and it is tailored to fit her body like a glove. Beautiful.

I was stunned when I first saw Mila in this dress. The blush color contrasts against her skin, the black background, and the red carpet beautifully. The cut was fantastic. The slit was perfection. And I have been lusting after those Christian Louboutins for months now.

Which look was your favorite? Leave your opinion in the comments! Thank you, again, for reading. It means so much to me. Please come back tomorrow. I'll be here waiting.

Style Highlights: Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester star of Gossip Girl and blossoming movie star. She has a unique sense of style that critics either love or hate. This blog post will give you the chance to decide. Do you adore or abhor Leighton's style? Tell me in the comments below!

Leighton Meester in Missoni [left] and in a simple black Versus minidress [right].

Seeing Leighton in this Missoni dress and cardigan made me fall in love with the brand all over again. No lie! She looks comfy and warm and comfortable in her own skin. Sometimes I see her on the red carpet and she looks a little out of place but her she looks stunning! I wouldn't change a thing.

This Versus mini is so adorable. Its structured cut makes it fashion while its monochromatic fabric makes if very main-stream. Leighton's hair looks so healthy and refreshed. And I adore those gemmed heels she's wearing. Have to admit I'm a little jealous.

Leighton Meester in Louis Vuitton [left] and in a Emanuel Ungaro floral minidress [right].

At first I wasn't convinced with this LV gown. I thought it should've skimmed the floor but now I'm completely obsessed with it! The beading and the ombre effect is stunning. Why did I want to change it in the first place? Plus the shoes are so chic peeking out from under the hem. I love.

Not every woman could pull off a sequined floral minidress, but somehow Leighton can. I love the fuschia lip that compliments the red buds on her dress beautifully. The simple strappy heel was genius and keeps the look from being a bit too costume-y.

Thank you for reading, supporting, and following. I'm so excited for some future events and giveaways that I have planned. Please check back tomorrow and I'll see you then! Don't forget to follow!

Style Highlights: Anna Wintour

Although Anna Wintour needs no introduction, I'm going to write one anyway. Throughout the almost two-year history of my blog, I've barely mentioned her in any of my posts [not on purpose. i promise.] I am actually a little embarassed. She is a fashion icon and this is a fashion blog, ergo I should talk about her more. But never fear. I'm going to be changing my ways starting now.
