Style Highlights: Reese Witherspoon

Water For Elephants comes out today! I'm so excited. I read the book and it was fantastic. Go check out my review if you already haven't. But I think that Reese will be wonderful in this role. I'm been a fan for ages. Tell me in the comments below which look is your favorite?

Reese was the center of attention that night at the Oscars. She looked amazing! Her hair was so retro but she kept the look incredibly modern. I adored the black and white color blocking--so chic! The emerald earrings were an excellent choice. They added a bit of color to the look without appearing out of place.

Jason Wu + Reese Witherspoon is a combination that never fails. I love this deep, rich color on her. It is bold and powerful. Reese looks confident and happy. Her makeup is natural and her hair looks effortless in soft waves--just like how Reese likes it.

Talk about angelic. In white Reese looks absolutely stunning. If you look closely you will see that the dress is actually textured--a stunning detail that adds depth to the look. I adore the half sleeve and sheer trimming at the bottom of the hem. Paired with simple Louboutins and silver dangling earrings, the look is complete.

With this look, Reese took a chance and it paid off. She looks so modern in this Zac Posen mini. I adore the bow detailing at the bust and waist. The corset cinches in her waist and the strapless silhouette shows off Reese's toned arms. Reese likes to keep things simple and she decided to pair the look with simple black pumps and minimal jewelry. Although, Reese did amp up her eye makeup. Risk taker!

Thank you again for staying with me. I love blogging and I get so excited when people actually read my words. Don't forget to follow and check out my second blog! See you tomorrow.

NYFW: Part One

Good morning everyone! :) I'm up really early today. I know that's a little weird. But since I was up I figured I'd write a post. Fashion Week is going on as we speak and sadly I'm not there. :( But that's okay.

But I have seen Jason Wu's Spring 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection and I love it!

Jason Wu has this ability to take masculine pieces and just make then utterly feminine. The bow details and punches of fuchsia were lovely. And I'm not normally a fan of fuchsia. His collection was whimsical and completely modern at the same time. These are clothes the everyday women--including myself--could wear for years.

The blouses were kind of a con and plus wrapped into one. I mean they're obviously see-through. Anyone could tell that and its sort of a hassle to have to find something to wear under it. I mean when you buy Jason Wu you're dropping several hundred dollars on a shirt.

But I guess the woman who can afford Jason Wu can afford to have it lined. But these blouses are done so wonderfully--excellent cut and fabric choices--I kind of don't mind seeing a ton of boobage all over the runway. But that's just me.

His tailored pieces were perfection. Its a suit and a skirt that young women want to wear. Its a sexy and young. And speaking of sexy and young...that finale dress! Sigh. With Karlie Kloss. It was stunning. The color. The elegance. There's no wonder that this brand has blossomed into a financial success in its short four years. I'm in love but I think I already mentioned that. :)

The funky glasses have to be one of my favorite parts too. I'm a sucker for nerdy-esque glasses. That's why I'm such a fan of nerd day at my school. I wear my 3D glasses from the movie theater with the lenses popped out. I'm a dork. :)

What do you think?

Jason Wu was quoted as saying, "I'm ready to be here for a hundred years." And if he keeps making clothes as elegant and timeless as these, I truly believe he's well on his way of accomplishing that.

Wonderfully Wu

I still think Jason Wu is a genius and here is yet another post in honor of his brilliance! Click here to see my first one. I know I just recently posted about him but I decided I'd do it again. One: because I have to keep writing my essay and I needed something beautiful to look at. And two: because I just wanted to. :)

Doesn't Kerry look amazing? I love the color of her dress. The entire thing looks stunning on her.

Kerry Washington at 38th Annual Legislative Conference. Wearing Floor Sweeping
Jason Wu Dress and Multi-Strand Movado Necklace.

Camilla Belle at CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. Wearing Jason Wu Dress, Chiain
Fringed Tote, and Gray Pumps.

Amber Valletta at the Premotion Premiere. Wearing Jason Wu Dress, Yves
Saint Laurent Clutch and Shoes.

Just got back from watching As You Like It  performed by my school's drama department. It was the best play I've gone to see in a long time. :) I laughed. A lot. The girl who played Rosalind was hilarious. Sooo funny. :)

It was a long day yesterday, I'd also played tennis. The school I went to had nine courts. Nine courts!! I'm so jealous right now. I can only imagine what my tennis team could do with nine tennis courts. :) Oh, well. I guess we'll just have to stick with our four.

My mom bought me the Nars 15th Anniversary Everlasting Love Pallete for Christmas. I know that was ages ago but she just found it in a box when we were cleaning. It has Orgasm in it. And you guys might know that I'm in love with that stuff. :)

Black and White

Jason Wu is a genius. I have no problem saying that. I love his ability to make a woman look amazing. I especially love his use of the colors: black and white. Reese looks flawless in her lace number but I especially loved it when Wu mixed black and white together to make a stunningly beautiful dress. :)

I think Jason Wu has become my new obsession. :)

Reese Witherspoon at Benefit for Women's Cander Research Fund. Wearing Black
Lace Jason Wu Dress with Peep-Toe Pumps.

Kristin Stewart at New Moon Benefit Screening in Tennessee. Wearing Laser-Cut
Sequin Strapless Dress from Jason Wu paired with Neil Lane Diamonds, Sergio Rossi
Shoes, and a Black Leather Belt.

Hilary Rhoda at an Event. Wearing Black and White Jason Wu Dress, Strappy Heels,
and Little Black Clutch.

Its super early right now but I'm blogging anyway. I feel alseep on the coach last night watching Criminal Minds, which btw is the scariest show but I still insist on watching it. Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me either. :)

I just realized that I named this blog "Black and White" and my previous blog was entitled "Black and Blue". Sorry for the un-original titles. My bad. :) I'm going blame it on the fact that I'm up before 10:00 on a Saturday morning.

I cannot wait for the school year to be over. We get out on like June 16th or something like that. I can't believe I don't know the exact date but I don't. But my cousins and a bunch of other people I know are already out of school. I'm so jealous. But I just have to keep going. :) Its less than a month now. :)

Sorry for the short blog. Please Comment and Follow! Are you already out of school?

Divine Diane

Diane is a stunning woman. I first noticed her in the movie, National Treasure and I couldn't help but notice. iin the movie she helped Nicholas Cage find a hidden treasure. But in real life Diane also helps Jason Wu bring his creations to life. I really want to see her latest movie with Brad Pitt. It looks really good. Have you seen it? If so, what did you think?

She has worn his work many, many times and every time she is stunning. Here is a look Diane's ability to make Jason Wu's beautiful clothing come to life. Recently I have become obsessed with Jason Wu. Sorry, if it seems like every other post I'm talking about him. He's just amazing. :D

At CFDA Awards in New York. Wearing Swarovski-embrodered Jason Wu Dress,
Tom Binns Bracelets, Strappy Heels and Roger Vivier Clutch.

At Neiman Marcus Preview of Spring 2010 Jason Wu Collection. Wearing One-Shouldered
Jason Wu Cocktail Dress, Eddie Borgo Gem-Encrusted Bracelets, Satin Sandals,
and Black Clutch.

At 2010 SAG Awards. Wearing One-Shouldered Jason Wu Gown, Harry
Wintson Gems, and Kotur Clutch.

I love each look for a completely different reason. The black sleeve caps on the first looks is ingenious. And the print of the second look is stunning. I love, love the color of the final look. Its so rich and unexpected. :)

Who's your favorite designer? Have you ever heard of Jason Wu?

If you don't know already, Jason Wu was the man who designed Michelle Obama's Inaugural Ball gown. It was stunning. :)

Just watched the Eclipse trailer at Stephenie Meyer's website. Here's the link to her website. :) It looks really good! (Yes, I love Twilight) But I'm a little upset that they changed the girl who played Victoria. I'm not stupid I can tell that its not the same person. Duh...

I hate it when they do that. Just like what happened to the sequels to the Prince and Me. The first movie was cute. Sigh. Love European boys with adorable accents. :) But the next two movies sucked! Yuck. I couldn't even get through the second one. I couldn't believe it.

But whatever. Maybe I could try not to notice. Not like that could ever happen but there's always hoping...

Oh, well. Tennis practice was cut short due to rain. Darn the bi-polar weather and so I decided to run three laps to get some exercise in for the day. That way I can eat my bag of cheeto puffs with not as much guilt. Hahaha.

Have a nice almost weekend. Just think. One more day. (And for me, two more tests! ugh.) Bye. Please Comment and Follow! :D
