Today's Inspiration: Red Dresses

Today I'm feeling a bit inspired. I wore bright, bold red. And as I'm lying in bed writing this, I won't deny that I'm still in a bit of a red mood--whatever that means. But don't worry I'm not mad. I'm just appreciating the richness and depth of this wonderful color. After all, the song isn't about a lady in cucumber green.

Lanvin Hearts H&M? Well, I Heart Lanvin + H&M!

Go bold, Stella. Or go home.

Valentino RED.

Red isn't just for brunettes. Kristen proves that blondes can be bold too.

Who says that reds must be paired with neutrals? Whoever said that was a liar!

Rock that runway Karlie!

I hope that you're a little inspired. I know that I am. Please don't forget to check out my second blog, Thoughts of a Fashionista! And follow this blog for updates about whenever I post!

Today's Inspiration: Karlie Kloss

Today, I'm feeling a bit inspired. Staying up later than I should considering how early I'm going to have to get up in the morning but when did common sense ever stop me from doing something I shouldn't? I'll just post this in the morning. I plan on writing at least one other post before I head to bed to be posted on a date in the future. Sorry, for the longer intro. Let's just get inspired. :)

Still beautiful in black and white.

Fashion's Night Out with two supermodels ready to work the camera. Exciting.

By far one of my favorite issues of Teen Vogue...EVER! Just wish I knew where I put it.

Aww...so cute. Yes. I mean the dog.

A sense of Parisian elegance overwhelms me whenever I look at this. Am I alone?

Girl Powa! :D

Top Ten: Michael Kors Fall 2011 RTW

Its hard to believe that thirty-years ago, a nineteen year old Michael Kors started to make his mark on the fashion world. He is well known outside that world due in large part to his role as judge on Project Runway. I love his quick wit and ability to tell it like it is. Plus, the fact that he can design an entire collection that makes me want to run to the store without a care to the damage that will be done to my wallet, doesn't hurt either.

Karlie Kloss: Model on the Runway

Designers never have the same aesthetic. They never have the same vision. In one season we can see aviator to rocker chick. From floor length fur to no pants. Each season is a flurry of activity and fashion. Model, Karlie Kloss is able to walk in one fashion show to the next with the same elegance and charm.

But what makes her so popular with designers is her ability to transform from one character to another. Don't believe me? See for yourself.

There's something about the fantasy on a runway that is just so appealing. That's why I love fashion. It is a world of fantasy--a way to escape from reality. It expresses what I'm feeling that day and who I am. I love Stanely Tucci's quote from The Devil Wears Prada.

"Don't you know that you are working at the place that published some of the greatest artists of the century? Halston, Lagerfeld, de la Renta. And what they did, what they created was greater than art because you live your life in it."

Just a little inspirational quote for the day. :) Bye!

Behind the Runway with Karlie Kloss

I know we all like to think that models just pop up at the begining of the runway with perfect hair and perfect clothing. With little to no preperation. We all know its not true but most of us don't know what goes on behind the scenes. What do models do for hours--while they're getting their hair and makeup done? While they're waiting for the show to begin?

Well, here's a look behind the scenes with Karlie Kloss. One of my favorties! :)

Here's a fun video I found on Teen Vogue's account on Youtube. :) She seems so down to eart and cool. Want to know Karlie's winter weather essential? It's not what you think.

Bye, guys! I'll talk to you soon. :) Who should I blog about next? Suggestions are warmly welcomed!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Turns 10!

There is no doubt that Marc Jacobs is a powerhouse in fashion. He's a risktaker. But from his risk, he usually reeps huge benfits from his daring, and incredibly wearable, garmets. And in celebration of Marc by Marc Jacobs turning 10--wow! has it really been that long?--I'm featurting one of my favorite runway shows.

It was young and fresh. And in my humble opinion, an iconic show. What do you think?

Mixing prints to perfection on Julija Steponaviciute [left] and Heloise Guerin [right]

Glasses are a girl's best friend. Anabela Belikova [left] and Freja Beha Erichsen [right].

Beautiful bow details--well, other than the ones on their heads. Siri Tollerød [left] and

Strong shoulders make a huge statment on Sara Blomqvist [left] and Katlin Aas [right].

Bold belts cinch the waist and add color. Mathilde Frachon [left] and Taylor Kraemer [right].

The perfect accesories: sparkly, lunchbox-esque bags and ballet inspired wedges on Hannah Holman [left]
and Jacquelyn Jablonski [right].

Kind of a long post. But it was hard only picking fourteen looks. Happy birthday! :)
