Style Highlights: Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams in a tailered peacoat [left] and a mustard plaid dress [right].

Michelle looks utterly chic strolling through the streets of NYC in a simple peacoat and tights. The big bold golden accesories and the bright red of her Louboutin heels are the only accents of color in this neutral look. Simple shades add a touch of mystery and confidence.

Michelle looks stunning at the Venie Film Festival. Her simple mustard and cream dress takes a modern twist on the traditonal plaid pattern. Big white buttons and wide front pockets give the dress a sweet feel. Add strappy brown platform sandals and the look is complete.

Michelle Williams in Oscar de la Renta [left] and Christian Dior [right].

Michelle looks lady-like and sweet in this Oscar de la Renta mini. The lace and bows are delicate and romantic without looking like a little girl playing dress-up. This is a look that is timeless. In ten years it will look as effortless as it did the day the picture was taken.

Michelle picked a crisp and clean Christian Dior gown and paired them with stunning plum colored pumps. The ruffles at the bottom and the top add a touch of feminity that she loves incorporate in her looks. A cinched waist and the high hemline show off her excellent figure.

Michelle Williams in Erdem [left] and Sonia Rykiel [right].

Michelle looks stunning in this bold red lace mini. The lady-like cut is complimented perfectly by her edgy heels. The soft curls in her short hair is a welcome change to her usually straight pixie cut. Michelle takes a completely different approach. In this Sonia Rykiel dress she looks fresh and fun.

Michelle Williams, Dawson's Creek alum, has been gaining fame for not only her outstanding acting ability--but for classic fashion sense. She might've had her begining in teen drama but she has slowly been distancing herself by taking on bold and risky projects, like her newest drama with Ryan Gosling called Blue Valentine. Michelle's career has jsut taken off and has no sign of slowing down.

Anne Hathaway: Her Style Diaries

We were introduced to Anne Hathaway in the The Princess Diaries based of Meg Cabot's book of the same name. I love both. :) But since 2001, Anne has grown into a truly respected actress--garnering an Academy Award nomination for her part in Rachel Getting Married.

She also works with Rachel Zoe and appeared on The Rachel Zoe Project this season. If the world of reality TV is to be trusted, then she is as charismatic in person as she was in The Devil Wears Prada. :) The fact that she has transformed from Disney darling to fashion queen is very impressive.

Anne Hathaway in Dior and snakeskin Louboutins [left]. Anne wearing the same snakeskin Louboutins but with a Armani cocktail dress [right].

I love both of these dress but for different reasons. The Dior look is a bit sexier and the asymmetrical look is very Grecian but with a twist. Anne is known for her million-watt smile and she uses it like a favorite accessory. Her sparkling hoops twinkle from behind her messy hair. <3

Then there is her Armani look. It is ethereal and light but at the same time impeccably structured. Her hair is tied back in a tight bun but still manages to look young and carefree. Some of it must be credited to Mr. Armani's brilliant work and some of it must be credited to her stunning smile.

Anne Hathaway in a Lanvin jumpsuit [left] and Erdem [right].

This Lanvin creation is a jumpsuit but it is a far cry from the outfits that are commonly found at NASCAR races. The asymmetrical neckline shows off some skin, making sure not to overwhelm her delicate frame. Her old Hollywood makeup and hair are such a nice contrast from her super modern Lanvin garment.

Then there is her Erdem look. It is a youthful print cut into a very demure pattern. Normally I would say this garment is a little old for her but she's attending Variety's Power of Women luncheon. That luncheon is to celebrate the strides women have made and it would be distasteful to wear a plunging neckline. To sexual herself at a event that is honoring how powerful women are outside of their sexuality. And for this occasion. The look is perfect. :)

I know I say this every time I post but Anne is one my style icon. :) I guess I have a lot more style icons that I originally thought... But I hope you guys liked this post. What was your favorite look? Do you have a favorite Anne Hathaway movie?

Mine has to be a tie between The Deveil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries. Talk to you guys soon! Bye. Follow! Comment! Subscribe! Please? :)

Day and Knightley

Unfortunately Kiera won't be in the next Pirates of the Carribean film tentatively set for May 2011 but she shines in her new film, Never Let Me Go. I'm a huge Kiera fan and I'm so excited for this movie! This film will hopefully help me forget the horrible ending of The Duchess.

Kiera is one of my all time favorite actress. She has such range, from romantic-dramedy to brilliant period pieces. Plus she was in my favorite love story of all time. Yes, of course I'm talking about Pride and Prejudice. :) While Ms. Knightley is constantly playing women from the past but her sense of style is modern and so beyond.
Just scroll down to see the truth. :)

On the left is Keira in Miu Miu. She looks amazing! You want proof? It took me two minutes to realize that there were ladies printed on her top and puppies on the bottom. I could never pull off a lady-print top but I really adore Miu Miu's bird prints. Especially on navy platform shoes. Those have to be my favorite.

On the right Keira Knightley is wearing Nina Ricci lace minidress. She paired it with a simple black blazer and platforms. Never underestimate a great classic. :) Plus, her short curled bob looks amazing. Why is everyone cutting off their hair? Are you?

Keira rocks the digital print trend in a floor-length Erdem creation. The color kind of reminds me of the 3D glasses you had to wear in like 2001. Do you remember those? The fit is stunning and I love the way this dress just skims the floor. Its so elegant and sophisticated. Her soft, subtle makeup is also perfection.

Then Keira rocks this sheer Rodarte look while promoting her new film. She normally is so serious in her movies and I love her bright, sunny smile. Beautiful. :) She combines a very, sophisticated top with an A-line blue skirt. So pretty!

Just a little update about my life. I'm going to start preparing for tennis season. I know that it starts in March but I want to play the best that I can. It is my senior year and I know that I'm not good enough to play on the collegiate level so I'm going to make the most of this one. :)
