Red Carpet Alert!: LWD

Make way litte white dress, for the long white dress. It is the perfect way to make a statement on the red carpet. And it is slowly becoming a favorite among fashionistas everywhere. What do you think?

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel [left] and Kristin Davis in Balmain [right].

Kirsten Dunst looks flawless in that Chanel. The red lip. The retro hair. The bold earrings. There is nothing I would change. Kirsten is so admirable because she dresses for fashion not to please the main-stream media. But this looks pleased both fashionistas and non-fashionistas alike. The delicate neckline/top of Kristin Davis' gown is so beautiful. There is no denying that.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Emilio Pucci [left] and Eva Mendes in Dior [right].

This is the gown heard round the world. When Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out in this daring gown it grabbed huge attention. From the front it appears demure and minimalistic but that side slit sends a statement. Some people said that it was inappropriate for a woman of her age but at what age does being sexy end? She has better bodies than many twenty-year-olds and more power to her. Eva stuns in this simple white gown accented with vintage turquoise jewelry. A statement cocktail ring and a pair of subtle earrings and the look is complete.

Jessica Stam in a floor sweeping gown [left] and Dakota Fanning in Valentino [right].

Jessica Stam--Canadian supermodel--looks amazing in this mod-inspired look. With high teased hair and monochromatic, sweeping gown looks incredibly modern with simple but important touches like a round clutch and bold, chunky lilac necklace. It hangs on her body beautifully. While Jessica went for minimalistic, Dakota went for volume. The tightly fitted bodice is juxtoposed by her alightly overwhelming skirt. The skirt is a bit unconventional because it starts below the hips.

I'm about to take my sister to Starbucks--that was part of my Christmas present to her. She has fallen in love with White Chocolate Pepermint Mochas [minus the Mocha]. So we're going to get cofee and then spent the day at the mall. On my dime, of couse. Wish me luck. What did you get for Christmas?

The Twilight Cast Gets Fashionable

Today we're going to take a look at the lovely ladies from the Twilight Series in celebration of the DVD release of Eclipse! Are you excited? I know some of you aren't but you have to admit that some of those girls have amazing wardrobe stylists. :)

Ashley Greene in Giambattista Valli [left] and Prabal Gurung [right].

Ashley Greene is set to host, Fashion Forward. She has graced the pages of countless magazines and she is the most noted fashionista that has come out of the franchise. She normally picks classic pieces but then adds a funky accessory like a bracelet or bag. And plus, she looks fabulous in red.

Dakota Fanning in Elie Saab [left] and Valentino [right].

Budding fashionista Dakota Fanning took the fashion world by storm with her high end styles. Its hard to remember that this is the little girl that stole hearts in Uptown Girl. It's been a while.

Nikki Reed in Burberry [left] and 7 For All Mankind [right].

Nikki Reed flies under the radar due to her absence from the headlines. And I think that's probably the best for the longevity of her career. Nikki Reed looks stunning my favorite brand [Burberry] and I don't think there's a time when she doesn't look fabulous. :)

Kristin Stewart in Herve Leger by Max Azria [left] and Helmut Lang [right].

I adore Kristin with red hair. It makes her look more fashion and less greasy. Does that make sense? I don't know. I'm excited for Breaking Dawn the movie even though it was my least favorite book in the series. I felt it was just a waste. What did you think?
__
I think Eclipse was my favorite movie but New Moon will always be my favorite book. I prefer Taylor because I find Edward a little...intense [edit: i mean Robert, i don't know why i wrote edward. Lane what were you thinking? duh.]. I'm going to get so many hateful comments because I just said that.

Dakota Fanning's Street Style

Dakota Fanning, Homecoming Queen as well as celebrated actress. She was semi-recently given her crown at a crowded football game for her high school, Campbell Hall High School, home of the Vikings. But not only does does Dakota sparkle on the red carpet. She also has super chic, slightly rocker, style.

Dakota Fanning in a long sleeve graphic tee and black boots/jeans [left]. Dakota Fanning in a leopard print jacket and over-sized scarf [right].

Dakota's simple black velvet booties blend perfectly into her jeans. It's hard to tell exactly where her boots end and her pants begin. Add a graphic tee and the look is complete. Next, Dakota makes a bold statement with her leopard jacket and then keeps it fairly simple on the bottom. The sunnies are stunning, Dakota.

Dakota Fanning in a wheat pancho, beige jeans, and leopard print heels [left]. Dakota Fanning in a striped skirt, work booties, and a military inspired jacket [right].

Who knew panchos could look so good? Dakota opts for a mostly minimalistic look on her airplane trip but that punch of red is perfection. Next, she goes a touch more girly-girl with a simple skirt and top. A military inspired jacket and grudge booties give the look much needed grit. Adore.

I hope your weekend was great! Mine was. Christmas lights are up outside. :) I feel so merry and bright! What about you? Feeling the Holiday cheer yet?

Please Stand Up!

Hey, today I'm going to be talking about something more important than fashion or makeup. Something that's more important than the perfect Christian Louboutin heels? I know it sounds crazy but its a cause that is very, very close to my heart.

It's cancer.

I know that a lot of people don't like talking about the 'C' word but it is an important to talk about. It's not something you can just dust under the rug and hope that it goes away. How can the back crawl? [yeah. that sentence makes about as much sense as ignoring the problem.]

My mom was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago. She caught it early and her recovery was relatively quick. I don't think I understood the entire situation. It was just too much to handle that I didn't realize the magnitude of everything until after it was over.

Not to say that it actually is over. My mom has to go in to makeup sure the cancer doesn't return. But I am really supportive of a program called Stand Up to Cancer. If you want to stand up to cancer tune in to Fox, CBS, ABC, E!, NBC, and countless other channels on September 10th.

The odds of getting cancer for women in their lifetime is 1 in 3. While the odds of tripping while texting is 1 in 10. The odds are astounding.

See stars like Dakota Fanning, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron [his part in the PSA is so funny!], Kristen Bell, and Logan Lermen as they try illustrate the odds. It really makes the message hit home. And I find myself watching it over and over again. Something that they said really left an impression on me.

"It's up to us to change the odds. For our generation. For the ones we love. For our future. If you don't like the odds stand up. Stand up to cancer."

100% of the donations will go to collaborative cancer research. This money will help young children unable to drive yet. And men and women with children at home. This money is for those who have cancer in their mouths, lungs, breasts, everywhere.

One day a loved one [maybe your friend, your child, your sibling] might get cancer and do you want to look back and say that you didn't do your part? I'm not saying this will cure cancer but it can help. Every dollar helps. And your dollar might be that dollar that makes a difference.

I don't want to guilt you into giving away your money. Honestly I don't. But I just want to make people aware. If you can't donate your money maybe donate your time. Relay for Life is another amazing cancer research fundraiser that I've participated in. It doesn't cost you any money but it makes you feel like you're making a difference.

Please. Stand up to cancer. :)

Dakota Fanning: Belle of the Ball

I got my Teen Vogue this weekend. The cover girl was Dakota Fanning. Let me tell you...she is so grown up. I mean I remember when she was in movies like The Cat in the Hat, Sam I Am, and Uptown Girls. She seemed like the little girl who'd never grow up.

For some reason I always figured she was so much younger than me. But I turns out that we're the same age. Well, I'm a year older but it seemed like there was a huge age gap. :)

Anyway, I saw her spread in Teen Vogue and I thought it was stunning. Maybe I'm just so excited for New Moon to come out this weekend. Eeek! :) I'm super excited. And yes, I'm a Twilight Fan. Not freak because I'm waiting til Saturday to watch it. :) So, yes, I have some self control. Although maybe its because all the midnight tickets were sold out.

:) Anyway, I'm going with all my friends and its going to be so much fun. :)

Sorry, back to Dakota's spread in TV. It was so pretty. I really liked this one. Although I tend to like most of the spreads in TV. It's a lot more fashion-y that Seventeen (After all did anyone notice that they cut and pasted Kristin Stewart's picture on the cover last month?)
.

Anyway, I loved the fashion in this shoot. :) It was stunning. Sorry, if my posts for the next couple days are kind of New Moon based. :)

What did you think? Are you looking forward to New Moon?
