Kate Middleton's Street Style

The last time I posted about the famous Kate Middleton it was extremely well-received among my readers. And so I figured that it was about time to highlight Kate's classy yet simplistic style. And now the couple have officially set the date! April 29, 2011. If you have plans, then cancel.
__
People have been buzzing non-stop over the future Princess Catherine of Wales. From the outside looking in, Kate's relationship with Prince William appears like a fairy-tale come true. It probably isn't as idyllic as all that but the couple seems genuinely happy together.

There has been much talk about alleged 'counseling' sessions meant to prepare Kate for the stressful future as the future Queen of England. Although none of this has been confirmed by Kate or the royal family. Kate is also supposed to attend etiquette classes to help her learn all of the archaic rules and regulations that a place of royalty requires. But I'm she picked up a thing or two in the eight years she's been seeing Prince William.

And just in case you wanted a replica of Princess Diana's/Kate Middleton's engagement ring, QVC has made one available only less than a week after the couple's announcement. Impressive, right? Would you buy one? Answer below in the comments! Wedding details should be released as the date gets closer.

Speaking about famous Brits, I am going to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One on Saturday. So of course on Friday and Saturday I'll to publish Harry Potter themed posts. But no promises. For those of you who have seen it, what did you think?

Prince William and Kate to Wed

After many years and long speculation, the engagement between Prince William and Kate Middleton has been announced. Kate's saphire and diamond ring, had once belonged to Princess Diana when Prince Charles had proposed to her in the 1980's. The couple are said to be wed in 2011, only a year before the Olympics are to be held in London.

Prince William was said to have proposed Kate, soon to be Princess Catherine, on a private safari last month in Kenya. Kate Middleton is also known as a bit of a fashion icon. Her face has graced the pages of countless Best Dressed Lists including People Magazine, Vanity Fair, Style.com, and many more.

She likes simple clothing with clean lines. And, of course, in good British fashion, whimsical hats for special occasions. With a royal engagement, there has been much talk about the details of the big day: where will it be? Who will be invited? And most importantly, what is she--and everyone else--going to wear? This is a fashion blog after all.

While there is no doubt that Kate looks beautiful in a dress, the soon-to-be Queen has great street style as well. And most of you know how much I adore British style. I wish the couple all the happiness. They're so sweet together. Below is a video in the couple's first interview after they announced their engagement. Enjoy.

Rachel Zoe and Friends

Rachel Zoe is pregnant! :) Or at least that's what I heard on E!News. I'm so excited. Rachel, Brad, and Rodger are so fun to watch on The Rachel Zoe Project. Did anyone see the spoof that was featured on one of the later episodes. I love the way she talks. :) Take a look below!

Anyway, to celebrate her rumored pregnancy I thought I'd do a post featuring her and her designer friends. I know. She's such a lucky girl. I wish I could hang out with Marc Jacobs and Nicole Richie.

Rachel Zoe with Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs.

Rachel Zoe and Zac Posen.

Rachel and the women of Marchesa, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.

Rachel Zoe and fellow Boho Queen, Nicole Richie.

I wish her all the luck in this exciting and life-changing time. :) I think she would be an amazing mother. She just has to slow down. And try to conquer the fashion world at a slower pace. Plus, her children would be the best-dressed children in Hollywood.

Bye! See you guys soon. Um...if you want more Viva la Fashion follow on Facebook or Subscribe through Google Friend Finder! What do you think of Rachel?

These Shoes Were Made for Walking

Good afternoon. :) I have so much homework right now and I'm procrastinating. Does anyone else have a procrastination problem? I get my schoolwork done but I wait until the last possible second. And I mean the last possible second, like the period before its due.

Okay, well I'm going to do an I Love My... post featuring one of my all time favorite style icons. Yes. I mean Ms. Nicole Richie. She is a bohemian goddess.

Wearing YSL Platform Pumps, Sheer Black Tights, and a Long-Sleeved Grey Printed Dress.

Wearing YSL Platform Pumps, Black Katy Rodriguez Skirt, Mui Mui Bag, Black Tights, and 3/4 Sleeve Turtleneck.

Wearing YSL Black Pumps, Black Tights, Red Sonia Rykiel Double Breasted Short Coat.

Nicole Richie always looks amazing. My friend May and I always compare notes on what celebrtie's closet we would steal and Nicole has consistantly been in my top ten for like three solid years. She looks bananas. :)

This is totally random but this past weekend my family and I went to The Rainforest Cafe to celebrate my sister's birthday. I went once when I was young, like five or seven, and I vaugely remembered it but it was so much more awesome than I what I was expecting. Their Rasta Pasta is the bomb! And their Key Western [i think that's what it's called but correct me if i'm wrong] smothie was delicious!! :)

It was amazing. I really loved the thunderstorms that come through every so often. I know I sound really lame. I'm sorry. But those elephant robots were adorable. I even took a picture with it. I know. I know. Dork alert. :) Comment below and please follow on Facebook!

A True Classic

I know. I'm behind. I even missed Burberry Prorsum's fashion show even though I was at home because I was trying to sleep off my cold. It didn't actually work but what can you do? Here are a few of my favorite looks? What were yours?

Burberry Prorsum managed to reinvent a classic trench--again. Taking a look back on Burberry's history, Christopher Bailey managed to create looks that were both sleek and modern. It seems like Mister Bailey never ceases to please. Whether you're a fan of metallic, leather, animal print, or shrunken fit there is a trench for you.

Another highlight: those skin-tight leather leggings. Not always the most flattering garmet for girls larger than a size zero but done the Burberry Prorsum way it can make a girl drool. From the quilted texture on the left to the long strips of patent leather on the right, it makes for quality pieces made with brilliant craftsmanship.

Plus isn't that biege blazer with the light blue belt adorable? If I could have one piece then that would be it. Easily. Easily. :) So simple but never boring.

Then I loved the pops of bright colors. :) My mother would die for that lime green and I have to admit that its pretty amazing too. It adds an element of fun or excitment. Plus that leather jacket on the right is insane. But then again, all of the jackets in this collection are insane. :)

Then there are those delicate draped tops and dresses mixed effortlessly with hard leather jackets or vest. The absolute perfect mixture of soft and hard. This is what I wish I could look like everyday. I simply adore that leather vest. So chic any biker would  want one. Just kidding. :)

Okay. I'll stop now. There are so many more picture that I would love to show you but I know that long posts are boring. So I'm cutting it short. :) Its about quality rather than quantity, right?

And have a great day, or at least try to. :) I'm coming home today so I'll get back into the normal posting schedule. How were my scheduled posts? Did they go off without a glitch? Geez, I hope so.

Young Hollywood

A spotlight on Teen Vogue. They always do a spread featuring upcoming teen stars and the pictures from this year were really beautiful. Teen Vogue went back in time to draw inspiration and I give it a thumbs up! [is it totally lame of me? does anyone give thumbs up anymore?]

Logan Lerman [from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief] and Lilly Collins [from The Blindside]. Both look amazing in their vintage-inspiried clothing. I'm really excited because Logan is said to be starring opposite Emma Watson in the big screen interpretation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I never read the book but I heard it was really, really good. Plus I adore Emma Watson. She is truly a style icon and I love that she comes across so down to eart and normal despite all of her fame. :)

Britt Robertson [with Thomas Sangster, bottom right pic] Thomas is a lot taller than I thought he was. She's the star of the CW's Life Unexpected but keep your eyes open for her Disney Channel debut on the DCOM, Avalon High based on Meg Cabot's book of the same name.

Then Jennifer Lawrence looks stunning with her soft, wavy hair. Heart. She's set to star in the upcoming X-Men sequel alongside huge stars like January Jones, James McAvoy, and Kevin Bacon.

Anyone who has seen Love Actually will remember Thomas Sangster as the little boy who stole hearts everywhere. Then he raised a lot of trouble in a little film called Nanny McPhee. Plus, if that isn't enough he's also the voice of Ferb in the hit Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb. He is sure to become a Hollywood powerhouse when he gets older. :) No doubt.

Ella Purnell is the lucky girl to portray a young Keira Knightley in this fall's, Never Let Me Go. She's also starring in the silver screen adaption of the book Ways to Life Forever.

Max Thieriot is one of the stars in the new movie, My Soul to Take. Has anyone seen it, what did you think? He was also in the movie Nancy Drew with Emma Roberts. My sister was in love with that movie and transformed her style after we went to see it in theaters.  Then Nicola Peltz is said to be staring opposite Robert Pattinson in Unbound Captives. Every Twi-hard girl's dream. :)

There were a few other stars that I didn't have room to feature. Click here to see more. Bye guys. :) Become a follower or become a fan on Facebook!

Tighter Than Tight

Fall is officially here. Well, its been here for a while but I felt like saying it again. Why do you ask? Well, I'm not quite sure but it felt like a good intro. Was if? On a scale of one to ten where did it land? [sorry. i'm asking too many questions in the intro. jeez. same some for later.]

And I'm a HUGE fan of tights. They make it easier to wear skirts/dresses in the fall. My favorite season, btw.

Whether they're sheer like Frida Pinto's or Rachel Bilson's, it doesn't matter. :) I guess Frida wanted her top and bottom to be cohesive. Heidi and Tim would be so proud. But all joking aside she looks really put together after a long flight. How do celebrities do that? I'm in sweats on a plane because my parents always book the red eyes to save money.

Yes. I took a red eye to Florida. It sucked or at least I think it will because I'm pre-writing this. But when does getting up at four in the morning not suck? Answer: never. :) And Rachel's top is adorable. I want it!

Brooklyn Decker and Mary-Kate Olsen prove that black tights paired with black heels give the illusion of a taller figure. :) Both women are lovely and I must admit that I'm a total Mary-Kate fan. I grew up watching her videos and I've always been a supporter of her.

And both of these women also prove that tights are for winter. Especially if you wear ice skating tights under your sheer black ones. The skater tights are very thick and are designed to keep you warm, that way its comfortable for you to look absolutely stunning but honestly the skating tights work wonders. :) I have at least three pairs.

This post is relatively short. Key word there is relative. I know that I tend to ramble and this makes people will skim my posts instead of reading them. Oh, well. :) I just love writing and once my fingers are flying across my keyboard, there is no stopping them! Um. Bye. :)
